Lodging

Most of the universities have an office prepared to help the students with the lodging (Housing Office). This office has contacts with real state agencies and a list can be provided to the students who want to look for lodging by their own.

The student can lodge in the university campus for not more than 9 months, and sometimes he/she may need lamps, sheets, towels and other stuff. Students can also choose to rent outside the campus.

Other options are hotel rooms, shared rooms or studios, with or without furniture. The lodging request for the university residence is sent with the registration. The vacancies are distributed according to the reservations.
The life cost changes from city to city, or from a state to another. Generally the lowest prices are in the south and the southwest and rise in the great cities and New England.
