Description
Founded on 1831 in Tuscaloosa, the University of Alabama
was the State’s first public university. The traditional
southern hospitality, reasonable costs and a mild weather
join the urban atmosphere in the beautiful campus of this
university.
Lodging
The university offers to lodge in the campus dorms, and
it’s possible to rent single or shared apartments
in the neighborhood, at reasonable prices.
Academics
The Intensive English Program takes between 20 to 30 hours
per week, and six different levels from beginners to advanced.
There are conversation classes with US fellow students,
small groups and the professors have TESOL degrees. There
are also international and institutional TOEFL courses.
Activities
The university offers diverse activities and trips options
during the weekend (New Orleans, Atlanta, Memphis, Nashville
and the Gulf of Mexico beaches). The excellent university
facilities include places where to practice different
sports.
