Description
The UC Extension in Berkeley is one of the greatest and
most distinguished institutions in the world. Located
in the San Francisco Bay, is characterized by its cultural
diversity. Either the student wishes to develop its professional
skills, to improve the English abilities, to get a better
knowledge of the American culture or to have work experience
in an American company, UC Berkeley Extension is the place
to do it.
Lodging
It is possible to find lodging in the dorms within the
university campus, with a host family, in hotels proposed
by the university or to rent apartments in the neighborhoods
of the campus.
Academic
The English Program of the University of California is
known by its excellent curricula and education, and has
given intensive English classes to international students
for more than 28 years. The students can choose to study
in the Berkeley center, just a few blocks from the UC
Berkeley campus or in the San Francisco downtown, the
heart of the beautiful and active city near the bay. The
courses include intensive English, commercial and legal
English, intensive Preparation for TOEFL exams, communication
and American Culture, and university preparation.
Activities
The University offers to the students social and cultural
events like beach barbecues, a bicycle stroll by the Golden
Gate Bridge, volley, basket and soccer tournaments, and
a theater show in San Francisco, among other activities.
