North Dakota State University
Description
The North Dakota State University (NDSU) was founded on
1890 and it is located in Fargo. NDSU is a credited university
and is one of the two institutions dedicated to the research
in the state, as well as an organization leader in the
agricultural, scientific, technical and technological
areas. The metropolitan area of Fargo has a high quality
educative system, a complete medical system, cultural
and entertainment activities and excellent parks, golf
courses and other public facilities. The nearer big cities,
Minneapolis, Minnesota and Winnipeg, Canada, are only
4 hours away.
Lodging
The campus offers a diversity of residences for unmarried
students and houses for married students. All had some
cooking facilities. It is relatively simple to obtain
housing outside the campus. The campus has three dining
rooms centers, which offer a variety of meal plans.
Academic
The intensive English Program has classes of few students
with levels from intermediate to advanced. The classes
take between 4 and 6 daily hours, 5 days per week.
Activities
The sport facilities in the campus include a swimming
pool, an athletic track, a weight lifting hall and basket
and racquetball courts. Memorial Union has an amphitheatre,
an art gallery, video games, bowling, billiards and areas
for resting and eating.
In the campus the students can attend sport competitions,
such as football, basket, baseball, soccer and wrestling,
or participate in anyone of the 200 diverse organizations
in the campus, such as the Badminton Club, the Engineering
Society or the Concerts Band. The cultural Association
of International Students and many other associations
also offer activities for the students.
