Description
Located in Findlay, a small city in the northwest of Ohio,
the University of Findlay is a private institution. It
has a small and friendly campus in which the students
receive personal attention from the professors. Founded
on 1882, the main campus of the University includes approximately
45 acres of modern buildings and beautiful gardens. The
university also has two equestrian facilities, one for
the English horse riding and other for western horse riding.
Lodging
There are residence pavilions available for those students
who want to stay in the campus.
Academics
The Intensive English Language Program (IELP) introduces
the foreign students in the English language and also
into the life and traditions of the United States. The
program prepares the students for the university classes
while improving their level of spoken and written English.
Students have also the opportunity to interact with American
students and members of the community and to participate
in study trips to several places of interest in the environs.
The classes have only 15 to 25 students, and the TOEFL
is not required.
Activities
The university offers many extracurricular activities,
including the International Club, the Trade Club and the
Computer Club. The students can practice sports, or participate
in the local championships or against other universities.
