Description
The University of Delaware was founded on 1743, and has
an excellent reputation in the engineering, sciences,
administration and economy, computer science, sea studies,
agriculture, arts and humanities fields. The university
is in Newark, a calm, safe and cosy university city. Newark
is two hours away from Washington, D.C. and New York and
only one hour away from Philadelphia and Baltimore.
Lodging
The University offers lodging in its campus, in shared
dorms. It is also possible to rent a single or shared
apartment in the campus environs.
Academics
The intensive English Program helps the students to prepare
themselves for the university or post university studies
in a US university, as well as to help the professionals
to learn English in order to improve their professions.
ELI offers six levels of intensive language instruction,
beginner to superior or advanced. The students can also
choose, general, cultural or special programs. The institute
is well known because it offers particular classes to
each one of the students enrolled in the intensive program
without an extra fee.
Activities
Among the diverse activities offered by the university
are permanent exhibitions of art, botanical gardens and
several museums. There’s also a sports field.
