Description
The central campus of the Florida State University is
in Tallahassee, the State Capital of Florida. It is a
small, modern and safe community, near some of the most
beautiful beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and just one hour
of Atlanta, Miami, Tampa and Orlando by air. The Center
for intensive studies of English (CIES) has its own building,
located in the center of the campus of Florida State University.
Lodging
The university offers lodging near the CIES.
Academics
CIES is designed for adults education (from18 years) with
serious academic, commercial and personal interests in
the learning of the language. The levels go from beginners
to advanced. The groups are small, with an average of
10 students, which allows a customized education. The
students have 23 hours per week. There are TOEFL revision
sessions, cultural and academic orientation, and a free
institutional TOEFL test at the end of each course.
Activities
The university offers social events and trips twice a
week, as well as access to the recreational and health
facilities, the computer room and the university library.
