Description
Chicago is a great cosmopolitan city where the students
can enjoy the academic, artistic and cultural resources
of world-wide famous architecture, theater, music and
museums. The city is located in the borders of the Lake
Michigan, near parks and beaches with different recreational
activities. The University of Illinois is the greatest
university in the area of Chicago. The Tutorium in intensive
English is located in the University campus.
Lodging
The university has a modern residence available in the
university campus, with Internet access and all the comforts.
They also give information about lodging outside the campus,
either with host families or in near apartments.
Academics
The Tutorium offers a complete educational program, developed
for people highly motivated wishing to improve their English
language skills with the intention to follow university
studies or for the professional and business improvement.
It has elementary to advanced levels, with 20 to 25 hours
per week, in small groups with professional personnel.
Reading, vocabulary development, composition, grammar,
oral understanding, conversation, pronunciation are the
main subjects.
Activities
The students of the Tutorium have many opportunities to
participate in activities in the campus and also study
trips by the Chicago and Illinois surroundings. They are
near the museums, theaters, the Chicago lake and the commercial
district.
