Description
The American English Institute is in the University of
Oregon, the main university of humanities studies in Oregon
since 1876. The University of Oregon is in Eugene, a small
and pleasant city. It has a strong inclination towards
the environmental and international issues. The foreigner
students represent a 10% of the student population.
Lodging
The students have several lodging options that include
university dorms and residences inside and outside the
campus, apartments, family residences and quadruple apartments
with shared kitchen.
Academics
The Intensive English Program of the University of Oregon
has six course levels, from beginner to advanced. There’s
a previous orientation to the MBA program (Masters in
Business Administration) for the international students
of the business administration degree, only during the
summer, and courses of academic English for the international
students. The students who successfully conclude the intensive
English program can also be admitted in the University
of Oregon without requirements of TOEFL qualification.
Activities
Just one hour away there are excellent mountain sites
for the ski practice, long walks, rowing and camping.
Many of the nearer golf courses offer reasonable fees.
The northwest coast of the Pacific is famous by its clean
beaches, miles of panoramic aquatic routes and snow-covered
tops mountains that allow the practice of all kinds of
sports.
