Description
Located to the north of Texas, Canyon is 15 miles from
Amarillo (with a population of 175.000 people). The city
offers the advantage of a small city atmosphere with the
convenience of a near bigger city. West Texas A&M
offers more than 57 programs of degree and 41 programs
of post degree. It also offers a languages learning Center
located in the campus.
Academics
The English as a Second language program (ESL) offers
language classes to international students who do not
know the language. The students can choose to register
in the ESL before their admission in the university. A
conditional admission to the university can be provided
to the students who choose to study with the ESL program.
The students looking for conditional admission to the
university must satisfactorily complete the higher level
of the ESLI program. The students who complete the ESLI
program do not have to take a TOEFL test to enter the
university.
